Bosch 8mm router bit set

After scourging the internet for router bit sets available in India I finally was able to obtain a set of Bosch 8mm carbide tipped router bits from Mach Power tools Chennai. This order can be placed on request and payment made by an online invoice. It coost approx Rs 3300 inclusive of postage. This fits into the Black and Decker KW900EKA router with the 8mm collet. I was pleased with the bits and also the box!

  2. It is not listed on their website. Mach tools sources them on request. You could email support@machpowertools.com and enquire. What I usually do is log on to the site some time during the day. A pop up window opens with chat facility where the person online cleared all my doubts. I had inquired in detail about the set via this chat and finally sent the email. They sent me an online invoice for the payment. I asked them what are the 'extra' things that they can source. In a nutshell they said they can source most related things that their listed suppliers provide.

  3. You are absolutely right. I usually prefer Bosch tools to make it happen. Router Bits play an important role and they are much helpful. Both are fine and meet all the requirements.

  5. HI Kishore. I loved your blog. You are probably right that cheaper bits may be as good. I have a set of cheaper bits that I got later from a friend but have not had the reason to use them as yet.

  6. Are you sure these are 8 mm bits? The picture and description in Machpowertools is for 1/4 inch shank. Please confirm.

  7. It is 8mm. I measured it again. I am not sure why it is described as 1/4 inch on the website. But if you are going to buy it from Mach you could always confirm it before you buy. They call it 8mm on the website but describe it as 1/4 inch. The product I have is 8mm.
